AMANDA at APEC 2021

This year, APEC, the leading conference for practising power electronics professionals, featured professional education seminars, technical and plenary sessions, panel discussions, networking, and an exhibition featuring leading players in the power electronics industry.

Even though the 2021 program (09th to 12th June) was initially scheduled to be held in Phoenix, Arizona, organizers ultimately decided to transition to a virtual format citing pandemic concerns.

The APEC program addressed a broad range of topics in the use, design, manufacture and marketing of all kinds of power electronics equipment. This was not just a venue for new technologies of power electronics but also a stage for engineers and designers. APEC’s technical and industry sessions covered everything from utility interface power electronics to renewable energy systems to transportation and electric vehicles to wireless power transfer, magnetics, converters, motor drives and inverters, and more areas.

This year`s APEC, Dr Denis Pasero, Product Commercialization Manager from ILIKA, gave the presentation “Review of Energy Storage Solutions for IoT Edge Nodes”. The presentation was pre-recorded and on-demand. At this event, the AMANDA project was presented with an emphasis on technological aspects, especially card components, electronics and design.
